Who we are
CompareHomeAppliances is an independent spec database and comparison site for home appliances. We publish specifications sourced from manufacturer official product and datasheet pages.
What data we collect
Most of the site is static and needs no personal data. An account is entirely optional. We do not sell data. We only process personal data when you choose to give it to us:
- Contact form. If you use our contact form, the name, email, company and message you submit are sent to us by email (via the form provider FormSubmit) so we can reply. We use these details only to respond to your enquiry.
- Account (optional). If you create an account to save favorites, we store your email address, a securely hashed password (we never store or see your plain-text password), and the list of appliances you save to your favorites. This lets you access your saved appliances on any device. Your account data is stored by our authentication provider Supabase on servers in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). We use these details only to operate your account and your saved list, never for advertising, and we do not share them with third parties for marketing. If you sign in with a third-party provider in future, we would store the identity that provider returns instead of a password.
- Favorites without an account. If you save favorites while signed out, that list is stored only locally in your browser (localStorage) and is not sent to us. When you sign in, any favorites saved locally are merged once into your account.
- Tools. Our planner and calculators run entirely in your browser. Any layout or inputs you create are stored locally on your device (browser localStorage) and are not sent to us.
Cookies & local storage
We aim to use as few cookies as possible.

We do not set non-essential cookies before you give consent. You can accept or reject non-essential cookies in the banner, and change your choice any time via Cookie settings.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and similar laws you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data you have sent us, and you may object to its processing. This includes your account: you can ask us to delete your account and its saved favorites at any time, after which your email, hashed password and saved list are permanently removed. To make a request, contact us via the contact form.
Third parties
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Optional accounts and their saved favorites are handled by Supabase (authentication and database), hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt, Germany). The contact form is processed by FormSubmit. Embedded videos are served by YouTube (privacy-enhanced mode). We use Google Search Console to monitor how the site performs in Google Search; it is enabled via a verification <meta> tag and aggregated search statistics from Google’s side — it does not set any cookies on your device or track you here. Each provider processes data under its own privacy policy.
